Sierra’s Bridal Shoot

Sierra wanted a non-traditional setting for her bridal portrait shoot. We found an old, tattered and abandoned farm house that was calling her name. Curtains blowing through broken glass, ivy growing out of control and peeling wall paper became our backdrop. I love the contrast in the photos of the young, beautiful bride against the old, decaying house.

Derrek and Rachel’s Military Wedding

Derrek and Rachel were married in early January. I had the privilege of photographing this wedding with my friend, Scooter. Scooter put this video together of our combined photography and video footage. I love the way the video captures the mood of the wedding.

The Forgotten Kitchen

This photograph was taken at a museum at Antelope Island State Park, Utah in January, 2010. While the island is now uninhabited, there was once a group of ranchers who used the island for farming in the 1800’s. A small group of buildings still remain on the island, including the house this photo was taken in. I like how the State keeps the house looking as it did those many years ago.

My new year’s resolution is to post an image every day during the remainder of 2010. I will start with this image from Antelope Island taken last week. I went with some friends for a day hike. The foggy haze created from the Great Salt Lake makes hiking to the top of some of the lower peaks quite rewarding.
